MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The Team Leader will be responsible for a team of four (4) trailer mechanics. While participating in various tasks, he will ensure that the following duties are performed in accordance with company procedures:
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on trailers based on the departure list and the schedule established by the supervisor
- Conduct a minimum inspection on each repaired trailer to ensure there are no other defects (e.g., brakes, tires, wheels, lights, etc.)
- Prioritize repairs based on trailers scheduled to depart first
- Conduct short-term inspections on trailers when necessary
- Manage any detected issues and take the required corrective actions
- Perform all other related duties as part of this role
REQUIRED PROFILE
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a heavy vehicle or trailer mechanic
- Experience in team management
- Completion of heavy vehicle mechanic training (an asset)
- PEP card (an asset)
- Demonstrates precision and attention to detail
- Autonomous
- Functional English, Spanish is an asset
- Good knowledge of computer tools
- Resourceful person with leadership and good interpersonal skills
WORK SCHEDULE
- Sunday to Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
WORK LOCATION
- On-site in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu
SALARY
- Hourly rate up to $38.00
