MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The Team Leader will be responsible for a team of four (4) trailer mechanics. While participating in various tasks, he will ensure that the following duties are performed in accordance with company procedures:

  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on trailers based on the departure list and the schedule established by the supervisor
  • Conduct a minimum inspection on each repaired trailer to ensure there are no other defects (e.g., brakes, tires, wheels, lights, etc.)
  • Prioritize repairs based on trailers scheduled to depart first
  • Conduct short-term inspections on trailers when necessary
  • Manage any detected issues and take the required corrective actions
  • Perform all other related duties as part of this role

 

REQUIRED PROFILE

 

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a heavy vehicle or trailer mechanic
  • Experience in team management
  • Completion of heavy vehicle mechanic training (an asset)
  • PEP card (an asset)
  • Demonstrates precision and attention to detail
  • Autonomous
  • Functional English, Spanish is an asset
  • Good knowledge of computer tools
  • Resourceful person with leadership and good interpersonal skills

 

WORK SCHEDULE

 

  • Sunday to Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

 

WORK LOCATION

 

  • On-site in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

 

SALARY

 

  • Hourly rate up to $38.00
