MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the movement of trailers at the dock and in the yard
- Manage trailers arriving at the terminal and assign dock doors to drivers
- Supervise the activities of yard shunters
- Review shipping lists by client and check trailer availability
- Assign loading and unloading manifests to dock workers
- Assist dock workers and yard shunters when needed
- Perform any other related tasks
PROFILE REQUIRED
- Experience in supervision
- Basic knowledge of English required, (to communicate verbally and in writing with our anglophone clients, who represent over 70% of our clientele)
- Experience operating forklifts
- Resourcefulness to find solutions to various problems during the shift
- Strong leadership and communication skills to relay information clearly
- Ability to work in a dynamic and noisy environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
SCHEDULE
3 nights per week from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
