MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver and pick up goods from various clients within the assigned territory;
- Assist, when necessary, with loading or unloading goods manually or using equipment (pallet jack);
- Secure cargo using straps and load bars to ensure stability and safety during transport;
- Ensure that deliveries and pickups match customer orders and that goods are not damaged;
- Use the mobile device to obtain and transmit necessary information related to pickups and deliveries;
- Complete the daily inspection report after performing vehicle checks and when detecting any anomalies during trips;
- Perform any other related tasks as required.
REQUIRED PROFILE
- Hold a Class 1 FM driver’s license;
- Basic knowledge of English is required (to communicate verbally and in writing with our predominantly anglophone clientele (over 70%));
- Hold a valid passport;
- Good geographical knowledge of the territory (an asset);
- Demonstrate autonomy;
- T endorsement (an asset);
- Good physical endurance;
- FAST or TWIC card or eligibility to obtain one (an asset);
- Interest in making deliveries and pickups in New York City (an asset).
MULTIPLE WORK SCHEDULES AVAILABLE
- Average of 5 days per week with return to the terminal every week;
- Super 7 (one week on the road, then one week at home);
- 10 days on the road, then 4 days at home;
- 14 days on the road, then 7 days at home;
- Part-time: Wednesday to Friday and occasionally Saturday.
SALARY
- Between $87,000 and $120,000 per year, depending on the work schedule.
