    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

     

  • Perform deliveries and pickups of goods at various customer locations. Some deliveries may require the use of a flatbed trailer or a curtain-side trailer.
  • Secure cargo safely using straps and load bars to ensure a stable load throughout transportation;
  • Assist with loading and unloading freight, manually or using equipment such as pallet jacks, when required;
  • Verify that deliveries and pickups match customer orders and that freight is not damaged;
  • Use a mobile device to send and receive information related to pickups and deliveries;
  • Complete daily vehicle inspection reports and report any issues detected during trips;

  • Perform other related duties as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS

     

  • Valid Class 1 FM driver’s licence;
  • Relevant experience as a Class 1 driver;
  • Comfortable driving a manual transmission vehicle;
  • Physically fit to perform flatbed or curtain-side work;
  • Road Train endorsement (an asset);
  • Ability to work independently and strong organizational skills.

    WORK SCHEDULE

     

  • Monday to Friday;
  • Day shift, with variable start times;
  • Minimum of 12 hours per day, depending on operational needs.
