Transport Bourassa is a leader in the transportation and warehousing industry. To support our continued growth, we are seeking a Director, Road Safety & Compliance who is recognized for their leadership, attention to detail, and ability to engage and motivate teams.
Reporting to the Vice President, you will be responsible for developing and leading the company’s road safety and regulatory compliance strategy while fostering a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and inspire the Road Safety and Compliance team;
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and U.S. regulations, including DOT/FMCSA requirements;
- Oversee accident investigations, claims management, and safety-related disciplinary matters;
- Develop and implement safety prevention, compliance, and training programs;
- Advise managers and coach drivers to continuously improve safe driving practices;
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend continuous improvement initiatives;
- Play an active role in promoting and strengthening a company-wide culture of safety.
Qualifications
- Significant management experience within the transportation industry;
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and transportation compliance requirements;
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams;
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and organizational skills;
- Bilingual (French and English), both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with partners and regulatory agencies across Canada and the United States
