For over 50 years, Transport Bourassa has been offering fast and effective goods trucking and shipping services. Night and day, year-round, Bourassa tractor-trailers travel Quebec, Ontario, and United States roads and highways.

Here are the important dates in Transport Bourassa's history:

  • 1956 : André and Guy Bourassa start local service in Granby (30-mile radius).

  • 1970 : A transport license is purchased to serve Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Montreal, Sherbrooke, Drummondville and St-Hyacinthe.

  • 1977 : Construction of the first terminal in Iberville.

  • 1981 : Jean and Daniel Bourassa purchase André Bourassa's share and create today's Transport Bourassa.

  • 1982 : A transport license is purchased for Trois-Rivières and Quebec.

  • 1983 : Purchase in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu of Maislin Transportation's old terminal (5,000 square feet).

  • 1985 : Sylvie Bourassa purchases the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu sufferance warehouse and this department is moved into the Transport Bourassa terminal. Launching of transport service in the United States.

  • 1987 : Creation of an affiliated company, Entreposage Plaspak Inc. that offers storage and distribution services with access to CP's rails.

  • 1990 : Transport Bourassa moves into the current terminal (23,000 square feet).

  • 1995 : Addition of a satellite location system in all the long-distance trucks.

  • 1996 : Purchase of land and a building next to Transport Bourassa's land, with 13,125 square feet in surface area for the garage.

  • 1997 : The loading docks are expanded to 28 doors.

  • 1997 : Expansion of Entreposage Plaspak Inc. to a total surface of 42,000 square feet.

  • 2004 : Purchase of the old 232,000 square feet Fabrication Fibre plant in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu for storage purposes, with access to CN's rails.

  • 2008 : The loading docks are expanded to 40 doors with 2 extra doors allowing for train access. This addition connects Transport Bourassa with its warehouse, Entreposage Plaspak.

  • 2009 : Transport Bourassa opens its day care center, Les Petits Boubou, at 550 boulevard de Normandie, St-Jean sur Richelieu. We can accommodate up to 50 of our employee’s children.

  • 2010 : Expansion of our mechanical workshop and the Transport Bourassa garage.
